Skunk Creek Trail #246 is a hiking, trail running, walking adventure located in or near Tonto National Forest, AZ. Otherwise it pretty nice early morning when not too much sun. On average it takes 10 minutes to complete this trail. From there, it was another mile and half downhill, all the while enjoying the amazing views before we reached another junction, where you’ll see a sign pointing you in the direction of Cave Creek Trailhead, three-quarters of a mile. Rarely cell service and we only saw 2 other people on the entire trail. BTW: Some people did it in less time than us too. Beautiful Hike 5-10-19 .... Lots of different terrain which kept this hike interesting and fun along with the beautiful sounds of the creek and singing birds. Skunk Creek Linear Park is a great park for walking, horseback riding and biking. Shortly after the third creek crossing, the Cave Creek Trail intersects the Skunk Tank Trail. Just a little past that, you will find the Cave Creek Trailhead, which will be the start and endpoint for our hike. Here, the views range from pleasant to spectacular.
